Sarah trained at Manchester as a Biologist gaining HND (distinction) followed by a post graduate diploma in Crop Science at Harper Adams Agricultural College in Shropshire. She specialized in Plant health and Environmental Biology.
Sarah then worked for 8 years as a Plant Pathologist for Shell Research, (investigating many world-wide plant diseases). She then retrained as a Garden Designer taking the City and Guilds Garden design course at Hadlow College in Kent. Since the year 2000, she has worked as a garden designer setting up 'Boxtree Designs ltd' as a small business.
Sarah consults and advises with a special interest in plants and planting schemes but also general design and layout of gardens. This includes many public projects including schools and churches.
Sarah also has experience consulting on the restitution of domestic gardens following large land remediation projects (Kentish Town 2012). And major construction projects. E.g. London City Airport.
Mark also graduated from at Harper Adams Agricultural with an HND in Agriculture.
He then worked for over 30 years as a director for a prestigious local fencing contractor business. Major projects included the Millennium dome and Eurotunnel plus farming and domestic fencing. A special interest in school fencing and subsequently school gardens led Mark and Sarah to work together on many projects, some receiving awards.
Mark also has a wide practical knowledge of gardening, wildlife and landscaping.
